How Kavumi works
Kavumi is a platform that connects you with independent pros near you. This page explains the two ways to book, how results are ordered, what the checks mean, and who your agreement is with.

01 · Two ways to book
Both end in one booking with one pro. You always choose; Kavumi never assigns work.
Search, or pick a category near your postcode.
Open a listing. The price is set by the pro: a fixed price, per hour, from a starting price, or on quote.
Choose a time and send a booking request. Before you send it, you see who you book with.
The pro accepts or declines within 24 hours. If a listing has instant booking, your booking is confirmed straight away.
After the job, pay the pro directly and leave a review.
Describe the job, add photos, and say where and when.
Every verified pro in that category within reach can see it. Your exact address stays hidden until you book.
Pros send quotes. Quotes are valid for 7 days and listed in the order they arrived, never ranked or recommended.
Accept one quote after you see who you book with. The other pros see that you chose someone else.
After the job, pay the pro directly and leave a review.
02 · How results are ranked
When you search or open a category, Best match orders services using four factors. You can sort by distance, rating or price at any time.
How far the pro is from your postcode, compared with how far they travel. A pro only appears when your address is inside the area they serve.
40% Weight
The average score from reviews of completed bookings, balanced with the city average so a few reviews do not swing it. Pros with fewer than 3 reviews show New on Kavumi instead of a score.
30% Weight
The share of booking requests the pro answered, accepted or declined, before they expired, over the last 90 days. Declining counts as an answer.
20% Weight
How recently the listing was updated. Full score for 30 days, then it fades to zero at 180 days.
10% Weight
Each factor is a score from 0 to 1. Best match adds them up with these weights:
score = 0.40 × distance + 0.30 × rating + 0.20 × response + 0.10 × recency 03 · Sponsored results

Posted jobs are never sponsored. Quotes are listed in the order they arrived.

04 · What verification means
A badge appears only when that check passed. Tap a badge in the app to see what was checked and when.
Kavumi does not inspect or supervise the work. Your agreement for the job, and any claim about it, is with the pro.
05 · Reviews and reports
Only customers with a completed booking can leave a review. A review shows the customer's first name and the month of the job, and is marked Verified booking. Pros can reply. Anyone can report a review that breaks the rules.

Listings, profiles, reviews and messages each have a Report option. Choose a reason and add details:

06 · Who you contract with
Kavumi is the platform that connects you. Before you send a booking request or accept a quote, Kavumi shows the pro's trade name, legal name, KvK number and address.
You pay the pro directly after the job. Kavumi does not take payment and does not charge you.
